Sterling silver or 14k gold filled 5mm faceted Cubic Zirconia stud, post and butterfly/scroll back earrings, which will arrive nicely presented in a gift box. They have a claw setting. Select your preference from the drop-down tab.

These earrings have been handmade by myself.

Cubic Zirconia (also known as CZ) is a synthesized/man-made crystalline material that can be colorless or coloured and is hard and flawless.

Colours may differ slightly from monitor to monitor as not all screen resolutions are set the same.

Gold filled jewellery comprises a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently pressure bonded to a base metal, such as brass. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating. Gold filled jewellery is much more valuable than jewellery that is gold plated.

In order for something to be considered gold filled, it must have a gold content of at least 1/20th the total weight of the item.

It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate. It won’t tarnish and will not rub off or turn colours.

Gold filled jewellery can be worn daily without fear of fading or rubbing off. 14k gold filled jewellery, providing proper care is carried out, can last a lifetime.

Wearers who are sensitive to certain metals can wear gold filled without worries of an allergic reaction.

It is commonly used as a more affordable alternative to pure gold as although a gold filled piece of jewellery is not solid gold, it has the same desirable properties and look of solid gold.

Care of Sterling silver:

By the very nature of sterling silver, there is no way to protect it from tarnishing because sterling silver reacts with so many materials found in everyday life. The best way to reduce tarnish build-up is to actually wear your sterling silver jewellery often. When sterling silver is not worn it tarnishes quickly. Unavoidable I'm afraid, but perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned by, and it can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth or polishing cream.

Care of 14k gold filled jewellery:

To ensure that it stays looking lovely, it’s best to keep treatment simple – by gently polishing with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

It’s important to note that many chemicals marked for cleaning jewellery can be abrasive and damage 14k gold filled jewellery.
