The faceted beads are fire polished. Fire polished beads are glass beads which have been heated at extremely high temperatures to give very glossy surfaces. The high quality glass and multi-faceted surface gives these beads extra sparkle and depth of colour.

Colours may differ slightly from monitor to monitor as not all screen resolutions are set the same.

By the very nature of sterling silver, there is no way to protect it from tarnishing because sterling silver reacts with so many materials found in everyday life. The best way to reduce tarnish build-up is to actually wear your sterling silver jewellery often. When sterling silver is not worn it tarnishes quickly. Unavoidable I'm afraid, but perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned by, and it can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth or polishing cream.
